It has very excellent heat resistance property, can withstand continuous temperatures of 900 degrees celsius for long periods of time, and instantaneous temperatures of up to 1400 degrees celsius.

It is also used for thermal and electrical insulation in stress relieving. It is available in a wide variety of fabricated forms including mesh fabrics, curtains, seals, pads, cloth and hemmed blankets.
